Sr. Application Development Engineer

Story Behind the Need

• Contractors would be working with an agile team of another 6 engineers.
• Hiring additional contractors to even the workload on the team.
• Due to Open Enrollment, we need to hire for additional OpenText work.
• These resources will work with our legacy teams of about 6 engineers to do composition work
• No additional needs outside of these 3 engineers.

Typical Day in the Role

• Days will be the standard 9 to 5 based upon the time zone where the individual resides with the expectation of there could be a few extra hours when needed.
• Each week stories will be taken on by this individual and expectations will be to complete the work as assigned.
• Contractors will take ownership of tasks and user stories assigned with a focus on delivering high quality solutions.
• Daily tasks will be determined by the Jira board and from the Team Lead.
• Opportunity to work with a fast-paced team to build out modern technology in AWS. Contractors will gain exposure to cutting-edge AWS services and tools.
• Day to day tasks will be to work on Jira tasks as assigned
• This role is specific to OpenText work
• Performance will be evaluated and approved by our FTE Leads

Candidate Requirements

• Required: Bachelors
• Years of experience required: Minimum 5 years
• Disqualifiers: not expert level with OpenText and OpenText Extreme, need SMEs
• Additional qualities to look for: healthcare background preferred but not required

• 1 OpenText
• 2 OpenText Extreme
• 3 DevOps tooling
