Title: Business Analyst Payroll System Release (Oracle Fusion & PeopleSoft)
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid 50% Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $75 80/hr
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a critical payroll system release project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud, PeopleSoft, and payroll operations, with hands-on experience in testing, business process analysis, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Project Manager and stakeholders to define payroll system requirements.
Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for payroll functionalities (gross pay, tax withholdings, deductions, leave management, retro pay, etc.).
Manage SIT & UAT, defect tracking, and regression testing to ensure quality.
Perform data validation to maintain payroll data accuracy and compliance.
Analyze financial processes including GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Asset Management.
Document requirements, workflows, and test results using JIRA, Confluence, and MS Suite.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops for requirements gathering and process improvements.
Support post-implementation review and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
Qualifications
Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financials, HCM, Procurement) and PeopleSoft payroll systems.
Proven track record in ERP testing SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
Deep understanding of payroll operations, tax compliance, union rules, and integrations.
Hands-on experience with UKG Workforce Management/Kronos is a plus.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Preferred: Public sector experience, CFA or finance certifications, PeopleSoft certification.
