Job Title: IAM Engineer
Location: Columbia, SC 29210
Duration: 12 months
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The position will work as a Security Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer within the client's Division of Information Security. The role focuses on implementing, integrating, and operationalizing security technologies, with a strong emphasis on developing automation integrations among security tools.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Identity and Access Management (IAM): Ensure appropriate implementation and configuration of identity management, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), Active Directory, and applications to support IT and security operations.
Security Automation: Responsible for automation development and implementation between disparate security and enterprise IT tools.
Security Solution Design: Plan, design, develop, and implement enterprise security solutions that align with business goals and risk tolerance.
Threat Mitigation: Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures for known security threats and develop preventative mitigation strategies for new and emergent threats.
Protective Measures: Ensure, validate, and measure the consistent application of protective measures throughout the enterprise business application and infrastructure environments.
Required Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)
Five (5) years of experience and expert understanding of Identity and Access Control, logging, and reporting systems.
Five (5) years of experience and expertise in Automation Development using tools such as Python and Bash.
Cyber Security awareness and understanding.
Five (5) years of experience with Linux, Windows, and network security protocols and procedures.
Five (5) years of experience in supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments.
Preferred Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)

SIEM analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of Security Frameworks such as NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E.
Application Security (AppSec).
Education & Certifications

Required:
Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Information Security related field.
OR eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
Preferred:
CISSP, CISA, CISO, or an equivalent advanced security certification.
Additional relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, GPEN).
Vendor certifications in SIEM or logging technologies.
