About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer for Engineering Tools to support upgrades of Windows-based applications and leverage generative AI for improved programming efficiency. The role will focus on modernizing existing .NET solutions and ensuring robust testing and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Windows application solutions for .NET Framework upgrades, emphasizing the use of generative AI to accelerate processes.
- Prepare solution conversion plans with detailed time estimates.
- Develop and execute test plans (Windows applications against instrument server).
- Implement solution conversion activities.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- C#
- .NET frameworks
- Windows, Windows Forms, WPF
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with generative AI for programming efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Conversion of Windows Forms applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core.
- Experience with embedded software development.
- Hands-on work with scientific instruments and instrument control software
