Client's R&D team is redefining how innovation is shaped, tested, and scaled. They're hiring a Lead Quantitative Researcher - UX with a Doctorate in Business Administration (or a related discipline) to help drive a more rigorous, research-backed approach to experimentation.
This is an on-site role embedded in their R&D lab. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about applying academic research to solve real-world business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead systematic literature reviews and theory-informed research briefs to support product and innovation decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to shape experiment plans, define hypotheses, and interpret results.
- Create clear, executive-facing research summaries that translate academic insights into a business context.
- Contribute to developing and governing our innovation lifecycle and internal research database.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in research methodology and contribute to cross-functional research training.
- Stay current on trends in service design, behavioral science, technology adoption, and innovation management.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, or a related business-focused discipline.
- Deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience conducting systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and academic synthesis.
- Familiarity with tools and databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, and NVivo.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence non-research stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in innovation, digital product development, or applied UX research
- Knowledge of technology adoption models, change management frameworks, or service innovation.
- Prior work in a retail, B2C, or consumer insights setting.
Salary/ Rate: $70-80/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week . Contract duration is 6 months with possible extensions. This position currently does not offer any benefits.
