Landis+Gyr is seeking a Fall Intern starting in August 2025 through the beginning of December 2025 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA office. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred. Applicants should be undergraduate level students who by August will have completed their Freshman, Sophomore or Junior year towards their Bachelors degree. Masters level students will not be considered.

Project Overview/Job Description:

The student will help the Technical Implementation Engineers with daily tasks such as PCA (Product Configuration Approvals), Designing applications for internal use, working on a semester project to help team processes, work on TIE Projects and possibly travel onsite.

Interns typically learn technical skills like using industry-specific software, conducting tests, and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. They also develop professional skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, and an understanding of industry standards and ethics. Additionally, interns gain hands-on experience, refine problem-solving abilities, and build a foundation for their future careers through mentorship and practical projects.

Engineering interns research their projects by studying existing literature, technical documentation, and case studies to understand relevant concepts. They gather and analyze data through simulations, experiments, or other tools to validate and refine their ideas. Additionally, they collaborate with mentors and team members for insights and feedback to develop innovative solutions.

Student Objectives/Responsibilities:
Assisting with design, development, and testing of projects
Supporting senior engineers in tasks like data analysis, software development, or equipment setup
Familiarizing oneself with company tools, technologies, and processes
Contributing to ongoing projects under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor

Education/Experience:

A student working towards their Bachelors degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later.
