The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support decision-making and improve business performance. This role involves creating and maintaining regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting in strategic initiatives through actionable insights. The Senior Reporting Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver timely, high-quality reports.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to generate insightful reports.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports as required by stakeholders.
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations to facilitate decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Perform trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and support strategic initiatives.


Data Quality & Accuracy:
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within reports.
  • Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure reliability of reporting systems.
  • Identify data discrepancies and work with IT or other departments to resolve issues.
  • Continuously optimize reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.


Stakeholder Communication:
  • Collaborate with business leaders, management, and departments to understand reporting requirements.
  • Provide recommendations based on analysis to improve operational performance.
  • Present data findings in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.


Automation & Process Improvement:
  • Develop and implement automated reporting solutions to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes and tools.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting technologies.


Compliance & Governance:
  • Ensure reports adhere to company policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting processes, methodologies, and data sources.


Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.


Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of working with large data sets and presenting actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization software.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with SQL or other data querying languages is preferred.


Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with database management and query languages (SQL, Python, etc.).


Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with EPM tools (Adaptive, OneStream, Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
  • Experience working with business intelligence software such as SAP, Oracle BI, or similar platforms.


Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position.
  • Remote or hybrid work options may be available, depending on company policy.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
