Job Title: Senior IBMi Developer
Location: Franklin, TN

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience.

  • 7+ years of software development experience.

  • Hands-on experience with IBMI / Power systems using high-level programming languages such as RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL, PL/SQL, CL.

  • Experience with web technologies like XML, WSDL and scripting languages like QSHELL.

  • Proficiency in tools like Change Management, Aldon, SEU, IBM Rational Developer for (RDi), IBMi Access, iSeries Navigator.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience in the healthcare domain.

  • Experience with Rocket Software LegaSuite.

  • Experience with MC400.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications for IBMI / Power systems.

  • Design and implement database objects on DB2 for using DB2 SQL and tools like iSeries Navigator.

  • Support and/or install software applications and operating systems on IBMI / Power systems.

  • Participate in the testing process through test review, analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

  • Scope and estimate projects for IBMI.

  • Write technical, system, and release documentation adhering to quality processes and coding standards.

  • Troubleshoot complex problems related to software on IBM Power systems and peripheral systems built on Windows.

  • Work on multiple software development and enhancement projects with varying deadlines.

  • Coordinate work with business, QA, and offshore development teams.

  • Communicate with technical management and other departments, reporting statuses, risks, and modernization opportunities.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external vendor partners providing software or hardware services around IBMI.

  • Work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
