Title: Project Manager (ERCOT)

Rate: $70/hr on C2C
Currently working remotely; however, some on-site meetings will be required.
Description:
This contract employee will develop a Microsoft Power Automate project tracking system that tracks RaaS projects from intake to the permission to operate stage. Such a tracking system will be capable of process flows that can generate notifications to relevant business unit personnel, of project status at all stages. Support is also needed to integrate this new service with existing AE IT software and systems, such as meter data management systems (MDMS), Generation Management Systems (GMS), and ERCOT metering and reporting requirements. In doing so, the contractor hired for this position will work with other AE business units such as AE metering, AE IT, as well as generation vendors to ensure Austin Energy correctly communicates distributed generation resource status to ERCOT in real time and monthly settlements. Some on-site testing of communication equipment may be required.
Required Skills:
4- 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive broad-based information systems, system integration, and project delivery experience.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative, independent judgment, and creativity in completing projects with a clear start and stop date.
Experience working with external vendors and/or Quality Assurance efforts.
Preferred Skills:
2-4 Years of Experience working with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Power Automate, including the development of Power Automate process flows.
Understands communication protocols for ERCOT metering and telemetry.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of registration and interconnection of distributed generation resources to ERCOT.
Familiarity with network operation centers (NOCs), generation management systems (GMS), and Inter Control Center Communications Protocol (ICCP) in interconnecting distributed resources behind the meter and in front of the meter with the Austin Energy distribution grid as well as the ERCOT transmission grid.
