Role: Linux Admin (Redhat OpenStack)

Location: Southlake TX (onsite)

seeking a Redhat OpenStack Admin primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.


Candidate must be located within commuting distance of or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations

Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • At least 4+ years' experience in Install, configure, and maintain OpenStack environments (compute, storage, networking).
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and security hardening of OpenStack components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenStack services and integrations.
  • Automate operational tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support cloud-native applications.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+years' experience in Redhat Openstack Admin, RHEL 8, Writing services(Systemd), linux , Kubernetes, Docker or podman, CICD, HAProxy, Helm, Docker swarm, ansible
  • Proven experience as an OpenStack Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, Horizon).
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (VLANs, SDN, firewalls).
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
