Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and efficiency of network systems while providing technical guidance and support to users and management. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on dynamic projects and contribute to the optimization of network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose network, wireless, and voice issues to identify solutions and perform routine system maintenance as needed.
Analyze network performance data and propose improvements to optimize system availability and security.
Plan and implement changes to network infrastructure, including wireless and voice systems, to maintain data integrity and performance.
Evaluate hardware and software efficiency, recommending upgrades or replacements to enhance operations.
Provide second- and third-level support for escalated network-related issues.
Participate in after-hours rotations to ensure continuous support and system functionality.
Collaborate with vendors to manage equipment, data, and communication needs.
Develop and enforce standards for network access, modification, and hardware/software enhancements.
Coordinate and oversee network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation.
Maintain accurate documentation of network changes, additions, and updates to ensure system transparency.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Routers.
Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and configuration management.
Expertise in network security and backup technologies.
Familiarity with LAN vs. WAN architectures and wireless network solutions.
Experience working with voice data systems and computer hardware.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and provide clear technical recommendations.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
