W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension)
This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. This position is based in Center City, Philadelphia.
Overview & Responsibilities
Join our client, a prominent firm in the utility sector, as a GIS Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting their Geospatial Data Validation Analysis (GDVA) platform. You'll work within a dynamic IT team to provide crucial GIS support to the business, focusing on creating insightful dashboards, developing web mapping applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of GIS systems. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your GIS expertise to real-world business challenges and contribute to critical infrastructure operations. Key responsibilities include:
Support the Geospatial Data Validation Analysis (GDVA) platform.
Create dashboards and Esri web mapping applications to support business needs.
Troubleshoot GIS-related issues for business users.
Assist business users with publishing information internally and externally.
Maintain and process geospatial data, including automation tasks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and deliver on their GIS requirements.
Perform quality control on GIS data.
Assist in GIS projects and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with GIS technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS, specifically ArcGIS Pro.
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, including troubleshooting and publishing workflows.
Proficiency in Python scripting for geospatial data processing and automation.
Experience with maintaining geospatial databases (e.g., SDE structure).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Philadelphia, PA (3 days onsite).
While a Bachelor s degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, candidates with equivalent practical working experience in the core technologies (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise Portal) will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the utility industry.
Bachelor's degree in GIS or Computer Science.
