Lead EDI Software/System Architect

Location: Austin, TX

Description:

Seeking a highly experienced EDI Software/System Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining EDI solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange between our organization and its partners. This role requires a deep understanding of EDI standards, protocols, and best practices, as well as strong technical and analytical skills to ensure the efficient integration of business processes.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement scalable, robust EDI architectures that support business requirements and improve operational efficiency

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate EDI systems with various enterprise applications, ensuring data consistency and accuracy

Lead the development of EDI solutions, including mapping, translation, and communication processes, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Octopus for deployment management, GitHub and Nexus for configuration management, and Terraform and Ansible Tower for infrastructure automation

Provide technical guidance and leadership to EDI development teams, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI processes, system configurations, and integration workflows

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance EDI performance and reliability

Required Skills:

Proficiency in EDI standards and translation software such as (IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, GXS/OpenText Trading Grid, Seeburger BIS, and Dell Boomi)

Relevant certifications in EDI or related technologies

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools for managing project execution, such as SCRUM or DevSecOps

Experience ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards, including Section 508 accessibility and VA security requirement

Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and regular progress reports


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Education and Experience:

Master's degree and 15 years of experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in EDI architecture, development, and integration
