Job Title: Application/Software Developer II
Location: Maricopa County, AZ
Duration: 8 Months


Job Description:

An experienced Application/Software Developer II is needed to support the configuration, integration, development, and maintenance of mission-critical applications such as Records Management Systems (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The role primarily involves working with Microsoft technologies and .NET programming languages, and includes collaboration with internal teams, project stakeholders, and third-party vendors.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project requirement gathering sessions with business users and technical teams.

  • Prepare and maintain software design and technical documentation.

  • Design and develop solutions that meet customer and project requirements.

  • Support testing efforts, including coordination with internal teams and third-party vendors.

  • Execute tasks in accordance with established project schedules and delivery timelines.

  • Stay informed on Public Safety industry standards and product development specifications.


Required Skills:

  • At least 2 years of programming experience using Microsoft .NET technologies.

  • Proficiency with:

    • .NET and C#

    • REST API development

    • T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS

    • XML/XSL, JSON

  • Familiarity with source control and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, or Git.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of full-stack development experience with Microsoft technologies.

  • Experience working with RMS and CAD systems in configuration, integration, and development.

  • Knowledge of Public Safety workflows and systems such as Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics.

  • Prior involvement in building or supporting Public Safety applications.


Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
