Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled ITSI Engineer/Developer with expertise in Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), Python development, and user experience (UX) design. The ideal candidate will bridge data-driven observability with intuitive user interfaces, enabling operations and engineering teams to monitor systems efficiently and act quickly on insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ITSI service trees, KPIs, and glass tables to support service health monitoring.
- Develop automation scripts and custom integrations using Python to enrich ITSI and Splunk core functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into well-structured ITSI entities and UX components.
- Create intuitive dashboards and interfaces that align with user needs and business objectives.
- Tune and troubleshoot KPIs, episodes, and correlation rules to optimize alert quality and reduce noise.
- Work closely with UX designers or independently apply UX best practices to create high-clarity visualizations.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and support to internal users and teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience with Splunk, including 1+ year specifically using ITSI (service trees, KPIs, glass tables, episodes).
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and API integration.
- Experience designing dashboards and reports with a focus on user experience and visual storytelling.
- Strong understanding of system monitoring, observability, and SRE concepts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with UX/UI frameworks (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or web technologies like HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Familiarity with ITIL or service management practices.
- Exposure to other observability tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Grafana, New Relic).
- Splunk certifications (Power User, ITSI Certified Admin, etc.).
