Position Summary:
Title: Developer Standard III - .Net Developer
Duration: 3 Months - Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433
Background:
CIT department has initiated a new project (Integration Hub) to implement the system that will help streamline integrations among client s systems and decouple the systems that depend on other systems data. This will help the department in implementation of multiple strategic programs in a way where the implementation can be completely decoupled and avoid any rework in which the systems are being replaced. This objective will be achieved via the implementation of a middle integration layer between systems middle layer which will serve as an Integrator and will eliminate direct coupling between systems - Integration Hub. The proposed system will enable systems to publish their APIs and consume APIs and messages published by other systems. Integration Hub will also support event-driven architecture using near real-time event notification and consumption of the data by making subsequent API calls.
Scope Of Work:
The scope of work is as follows:
- Design and Develop the Restful API Services and pub/sub message interfaces in alignment with integration requirements, defined architecture and design and infrastructure specifications. Leverage Azure APIM and Azure Service Bus.
- Coordinate with QA team, fix the bug and stabilize the functionality.
- Integrate the solution with DevSecOps and all the security hooks and controls.
- Work with other ITS teams for taking the project the various steps from development and production.
- Complete the documentation of modules that will be developed.
Skills/Experience required:
- Experience of more than 8 years in application development, especially in middle-tier and back-end development of services, application logic, APIs, etc.
- Strong skills and experience in system development, especially in .Net and Azure Cloud.
- Experience with API Gateways, Message / Event hubs, Azure DevOps, SharePoint Online and Azure Key Vault.
- Knowledge in the development of application standards, architecture products, artifacts, and standardization processes.
- Excellent communication, writing, documentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide training, coaching support for architecture projects.
- Ability to visualize and create high-level models (rigorous information-rich diagrams), ability to extend and mature the business architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization (this includes written and verbal communications, as well as visualizations).
- Ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate models between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology.
- Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills.
- Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus.
