RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Voice & Network Technician in Lake Mary, FL. This role reports to the Manager, Telecom and Networks.

Summary:
The Voice and Network Technician supports the smooth functioning of voice and network systems, including troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software. This position documents and completes user requests for service and problem resolution, updates databases related to voice and network communications operational areas, maintains up to date documentation for all telecommunications and network systems such as tollfree numbers, business continuity planning, and network changes. The Voice and Network Technician also supports and provides backup support to the Data Engineer as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supports and maintains the Avaya PBX including CM, CMS, Modular Messaging, AES, Call Accounting, E911 Inform
* Adds, removes, and troubleshoots users on Microsoft Teams
* Provides support for video conference equipment and meetings
* Performs basic cabling requests, from cross-connect to termination and troubleshooting
* Assists in entering and coding telecom billing as required
* Assists the Data Engineer with patching equipment and users to the appropriate switches
* Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with network switches, Wireless equipment, and UPS
* Documents network and telecom infrastructure to ensure that configurations, IP Addressing and architectural design are current
* Monitors alerts and help desk to ensure that service requests and outages are addressed in a timely manner
* Performs related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field plus one (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience in voice and network systems; Or Associate degree in a related field plus three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in voice and network support roles
* CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) or equivalent preferred
* Some experience monitoring and configuring SNMP and some familiarity with AT&T Route-It Wireless Technology
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and common software applications. Proficiency in standard PC applications
* Familiarity of configuring network switching and routing devices for LAN, WAN including routing and VLANS, VOiP, SIP and QoS
* Knowledge and understanding of Toll-Free Routing, Vectors, VON, TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing, BGP routing, LAN, WAN, VLAN, IPSEC and SSL VPN technologies, and Telecom billing
* Knowledge of basic Network security practices, fundamental understanding of OSI Model
* Full knowledge of application development, operating environments, and documentation
* Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting
* Exposure to structured methodologies, fact finding and technical writing
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent customer service attitude, analytical problem diagnosis, and resolution skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to perform basic cabling requests, from cross-connect to running Cab 6 cables and termination and troubleshooting
* Ability to support Microsoft Teams for Voice and video conference equipment and services

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
