Overview:
Project Manager Role Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of strategic, approved, and funded projects. This role leads complex initiatives from inception through delivery and support, working closely with IT and business leaders-including project, program, and executive sponsors-as well as all IT groups and key stakeholders across the organization.
Key responsibilities include defining objectives, developing plans to achieve those objectives, tracking progress against goals and budgets, and ensuring successful execution of critical projects and programs. The Project Manager also plays a vital role in coaching team members and enhancing project management practices.
This individual ensures coordination, status reporting, and stability across all project efforts and is instrumental in establishing and improving project management methodologies within organization. The goal is to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, meet quality standards, and align with customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Strategy (20%)

  • Provide strategic input to IT and leadership on all projects and programs.
  • Act as a thought leader in standardizing and streamlining business processes across divisions and functions.
  • Partner with business leaders to define a clear vision for IT-enabled business solutions and ensure alignment with the broader business strategy.
  • Incorporate best practices into the IT organization, focusing on project and program management excellence.

Execution (60%)

  • Successfully manage and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure high-quality, in-scope delivery of all IT programs and projects in the assigned portfolio.
  • Promote and follow consistent project management practices, processes, and performance metrics.
  • Develop clear, business-focused presentations for senior leadership to support decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Maintain, promote, and enforce project management lifecycle standards.
  • Collaborate with the VP of IT, IT leaders, and executives to support decision-making throughout project execution.

Building Capabilities (20%)

  • Mentor, coach, and inspire excellence within IT project teams.
  • Continuously enhance personal skills and knowledge of business and emerging IT solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with leading practices in program and project management and serve as a key resource and expert within the organization.
