Job Title: UCaaS Telecommunications Engineer (Microsoft Teams Phone)
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid Onsite support as required)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced UCaaS Telecommunications Engineer to support a large-scale transition from an on-premise Cisco voice system to a cloud-based Microsoft Teams Phone solution. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence as needed.
The engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver key components of the migration, including analog device integration, legacy system decommissioning, and support for voice services across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration from Cisco Call Manager to Microsoft Teams Phone
- Configure, deploy, test, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Phone voice network infrastructure
- Transition analog devices (e.g., faxes, intercoms, door buzzers) via Audiocodes Teams gateways
- Decommission legacy Cisco telephony equipment in line with established IT asset policies
- Provide support for additional voice services such as intercoms, paging, call queues, and courtroom applications
- Maintain Poly desk phones, ensuring current software and firmware versions
- Deliver operational support throughout and after the migration process
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams and operational procedures
- Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, vendors, and internal technical staff to complete migrations and optimize voice services
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications: PSTN, PBX, VoIP, SIP, circuits, dial plans
- 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience: LAN, networking, network security
- 3+ years working with Microsoft Teams Phone or other UCaaS/CCaaS platforms
- Practical experience migrating from Cisco Call Manager to cloud voice systems
- Experience with Audiocodes gateways and analog device integration
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience developing technical documentation and process materials
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience supporting government or public sector environments
- Familiarity with surpldecommissioning procedures for IT equipment
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Equivalent work experience may also be considered
Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert
- Audiocodes Certified Voice Professional (ACVP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
