Description: Our client is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer 3

Position Title: Mobile Engineer

The Mobile Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems across multiple locations. This role requires specialized expertise in one core trade-such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations-along with cross-functional skills in other areas. The engineer ensures optimal performance of building systems while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, furniture, and control systems.
  • Travel between multiple facilities to ensure consistent functionality and operational standards.
  • Maintain HVAC systems and related equipment through cleaning, inspection, calibration, and part replacement.
  • Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Manage facility services including inventory control, purchasing, contracted maintenance, and general upkeep.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of tools and instruments; maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Evaluate and oversee maintenance work performed by external contractors for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain clean, hazard-free work environments.
  • Identify potential safety risks and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial building system maintenance and repair.
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification required (Universal Certification preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferred: Two years of trade school education in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC.
