Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) - Engineering Operations and Enablement team is seeking a Senior Engineering Technical Specialist to join our Engineering processes and tools Technical Workplace Coaches (TWC) team in Everett, Washington.

This position aligns with the Global expansion of services to Engineering and connects with an existing network of Engineering Processes and Tools Subject Matter Experts (SME's) across our U.S. based sites and Global Design Centers.

Their efforts ensure full collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effectiveness across the entire engineering value stream.

As a Technical Workplace Coach in Engineering Processes and Tools, you will be responsible for delivering expert guidance and mentorship to engineering teams through On-The-Job (OJT) training. Your role will focus on ensuring the effective application of engineering processes and tools.

This role is dedicated to enhancing technical skills, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organization. It aims to bridge the gap between formal training and the on-the-job application of engineering processes and tools.

A Technical Workplace Coach is an expert in transferring technical knowledge and collaborates closely with the BCA Engineering Processes and Tools End User Support teams in identifying technical knowledge gaps, delivering targeted training, and facilitating the adoption of enhanced solutions.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to engineering teams on the effective use of engineering processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Assess team capabilities and identify skill gaps, developing tailored training artifacts to address these needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to align coaching efforts with project goals and organizational objectives.
  • Promote best practices in engineering processes, ensuring compliance with business standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of coaching initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members to foster a culture of innovation and improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning techniques.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial airplane engineering fundamentals and design methodologies and processes.
  • Proficient in engineering tools and software, such as CADCAM software, simulation tools, etc....
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, with a focus on developing technical competencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
  • Experience in facilitating technical training sessions and workshops.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate ideas and information through multimedia presentations.
  • Proficient in creating engaging presentations using software such as PowerPoint.
  • Proficient at producing and editor videos content using software such as Camtasia

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Web Design and Development tools such as HTML
  • Ability to create, manipulate and present information using a combination of different media formats.
