About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SD-WAN Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage next-generation SD-WAN architectures that enhance performance, security, and agility across a global enterprise. This role will be instrumental in defining software-defined networking principles, optimizing traffic flows, and integrating modern SD-WAN solutions with existing WAN, cloud, and security infrastructures. You will help enforce global SD-WAN standards around routing policies, segmentation strategies, application-aware traffic steering, and encryption protocols ensuring enterprise scalability, resilience, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and manage scalable SD-WAN solutions across global enterprise and remote locations.

• Apply software-defined networking principles to improve traffic routing, resiliency, and end-user experience.

• Define and enforce SD-WAN policies for routing, segmentation, traffic engineering, and encryption.

• Integrate SD-WAN platforms with legacy WANs, cloud infrastructure (IaaS/SaaS), and modern security frameworks (SASE, Zero Trust).

• Monitor network performance using analytics and automation, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

• Champion application-aware routing and dynamic path selection strategies.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure SD-WAN infrastructure aligns with governance standards.

• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, vendor evaluations, and roadmap planning for SD-WAN technologies.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead best practice development for deployment and operations.

• Build automation and orchestration scripts (e.g., Ansible, Python) to deploy, validate, and test network changes.

• Drive multiple high-impact projects simultaneously with clear prioritization and execution.

• Partner with architects, stakeholders, and senior leadership to align on network strategy and goals.

• Serve as an escalation point for high-severity SD-WAN and network-related incidents.

• Recommend continuous improvements, supported by cost/benefit analysis and business need alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.

• 7+ years of experience in SD-WAN and enterprise network engineering.

• Proven expertise in designing and managing SD-WAN architectures at scale.

• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, segmentation, QoS, and encryption methods.

• Hands-on experience with leading SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto (Prisma), or Juniper.

• Familiarity with network security integrations, including SASE and Zero Trust Architecture.

• Experience with network automation and monitoring solutions.

• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible, REST APIs) preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a sharp attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

• Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
