Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Power BI Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities:
Translate user requirements and UX/UI wireframes into clean, well-structured, Power BI reports and dashboards
Rebuild existing SAP-based reports into Power BI, ensuring they preserve business logic while improving visual clarity and usability
Partner with UX/UI Engineers or Business Analysts to validate designs before build and continuously iterate based on user feedback
Help streamline and standardize Power BI experiences across teams to improve navigation, usability, and trust in the data
Implement best practices in data visualization, storytelling, and performance optimization
Work with Databricks Data Engineers to source and validate data models from the Azure Lakehouse environment
Advocate for a user-first mindset by making reports more approachable, informative, and actionable
Assist with report documentation and Power BI workspace organization to support business adoption
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience developing dashboards in Power BI with strong DAX, Power Query, and data modeling skills
Proven experience rebuilding or replatforming SAP or legacy reports into Power BI
Strong understanding of data storytelling, layout, and user experience design principles
Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or other modern data platforms
Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and iterate on deliverables quickly
High attention to detail and passion for delivering intuitive, value-driven analytics
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a life sciences, manufacturing, or highly regulated industry
Familiarity with report usage analytics, user adoption strategies, or Power BI governance
Background in UI/UX design or experience collaborating with UX resources
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 or the hourly equivalent.
