Job Title: Solution Architect Data & Cloud Modernization
Job Type: Contract / Full-Time
Experience Level: Senior (10+ years)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and customer-focused Solution Architect to lead end-to-end data modernization, application migration, and cloud architecture initiatives. This role involves designing enterprise-level solutions, guiding system installations and configurations, and supporting cloud migration strategies across complex client environments. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical depth and excellent client-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients on cloud migration, data modernization, and solution architecture

  • Engage senior customer stakeholders to define technical strategies and lead discovery sessions and process re-engineering workshops

  • Guide the installation and configuration of enterprise data tools in Linux environments (including RHEL)

  • Translate business requirements into scalable and secure cloud-based solutions

  • Design and deliver high-level architectural documents, including reference architectures and future-state data frameworks

  • Lead application modernization and migration projects, particularly Java and/or C# based systems

  • Make strategic recommendations on cost, performance, security, reliability, and scalability

  • Collaborate with project teams including PMs, Product Specialists, and fellow Architects to manage delivery and client satisfaction

  • Tackle complex mainframe and cloud performance issues, especially in data-heavy environments

  • Aid in configuring network, database, and middleware stacks in modern environments

  • Present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and confidence

Required Skills & Experience:

(Minimum 10 years of proven expertise in the following areas)

  • Strong experience installing and configuring data analysis tools in Linux environments (e.g., RHEL)

  • Hands-on experience with application migration and legacy modernization (Java and/or C#)

  • Expertise in IBM Mainframe and/or cloud-based architectures

  • Deep knowledge of data migration strategies, with IMS and DB2 experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of ETL tools and performance tuning on both mainframe and cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with mainframe application functionality, VSAM, PostgreSQL/SQL, and other data stores

  • Strong experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and enterprise-scale system design

  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to influence, present, and negotiate with stakeholders

  • Ability to create architectural vision documents, technical roadmaps, and strategy briefs

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
