ROLE DESCRIPTION

Access Global Group is adding a Data Engineering Manager with extensive Nifi experience and proven expertise in leading teams to design, deploy, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache NiFi. Experienced in overseeing complex dataflow migrations across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring operational continuity, performance optimization, and data integrity. Skilled in managing cross-functional teams, implementing Agile practices, and applying DevOps principles to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and mentor a team of Data engineers with Nifi experience, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Oversee the migration of dataflow initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal operational impact.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache NiFi, focusing on performance optimization and system reliability.
  • Design and validate field extraction workflows to maintain data quality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to apply Agile practices, with an emphasis on Kanban, to improve project outcomes.
  • Diagnose and resolve dataflow issues, utilizing strong operating system and networking knowledge to pinpoint root causes.
  • Other duties as requested by leadership

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers, providing guidance, oversight, and professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and deploying complex dataflow projects and pipelines.
  • Hands-on expertise with both cloud environments and on-premises systems, including experience with migrations.
  • Skilled in creating and validating field extraction processes to ensure accurate data handling.
  • Strong understanding of OS and networking concepts, with proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and software development lifecycle processes, especially within Agile frameworks.

OTHER Must have no other full-time commitments, ready to engage in exciting technical consulting projects with our diverse portfolio of clients.
