Job Title: Observability Engineer - 243210
Work Location: 100% Remote in the US (CST Work Hours)

Compensation: $63-$68 /hour W2
ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking an experienced Observability Engineer for a fully remote opportunity with one of our top Healthcare clients. Our client is a Health Services organization, focused on supporting Federal Government end customers such as the US Military/DoD, DoJ, DHS, and others.
This is a new role on a new team, focused on creating a formal Observability practice within the company. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining the automations that provide data/insights necessary for optimal performance. Candidates need a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience building our processes in Dynatrace and/or Elastic Stack (ELK)
Please note: Due to the fact that this role involves US government contracts, ship is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building up a greenfield Observability process - with a focus on creating the automations in Python and Shell Scripts
- Developing the automated monitoring and alerting processes with tools like ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus and Grafana to detect issues early and trigger alerts
- Building in back-end automations for Role Based Access Control
- Building in automated high availability
- Designing and implementing Observability pipelines to collect, aggregate, and analyze various types of telemetry data using Logstash and/or Fluentd, FluentBit, Datadog, etc..
- Maintaining the reliability, scalability and availability Log Management, Metrics and Observability platforms
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience
- 3+ Years experience as an Admin or Engineer with tools like Dynatrace, ELK, etc.
- Experience with tools like Prometheus and Grafana Dashboards for Metrics
- Proficient with Python Scripting
- Proficient with Linux OS and Linux Shells / Bash
