Job Overview:
We are assembling a pipeline of experienced Report Developers / Business Intelligence (BI) Analysts to support the anticipated Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) modernization project for the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS). This role will focus on building robust, user-friendly dashboards and reports that align with federal and state reporting requirements.
Note: This is a pre-solicitation pipeline posting. Applications are being accepted in preparation for a formal Request for Proposal (RFP). Candidates will be contacted once the project is awarded.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain operational and strategic reports and dashboards to support child welfare programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure usability of visualizations
- Ensure compliance with federal data reporting mandates, including AFCARS (Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System) and NCANDS (National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System)
- Optimize performance and accuracy of BI assets across multiple data sources
- Assist in data validation, quality assurance, and documentation of reporting logic
- Support end-user training and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or report development, preferably in a health and human services or public sector environment
- Proficiency in BI tools including Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational data models
- Familiarity with federal child welfare reporting standards (AFCARS, NCANDS) is preferred
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
