Job Summary:
The Technical Product Engineer will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly focused Technology Enablement team responsible for developing new, and expanding existing opportunities in the global IT market with a focus on AI, GPU, CPU, Cloud, Enterprise, HPC, Networking and Storage. The ideal candidate will need to be able to translate the business and technical requirements from the clients into a feasible solution. You are expected to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers. Some hands-on on these systems is also required. This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements based on customer requirements and business requirements
Work closely with sales and customers to provide support on any integrations needed to develop the business, i.e. contribute to customer RFPs and partner SOWs
Coordinate operational activities from kick-off to TTM launch utilizing strong technical project management skills
Hands-on experience on server technologies
Provide technical presentations, demonstrating Supermicro's technologies' excellence
Engage in researching technologies and products to propose new offerings and Proof of Concepts
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is desirable
Familiar with server architecture (including CPU, memory, PCIe, NVMe, NIC, OS, BIOS, BMC). Knowledge in cluster architectures like AI and HPC is a plus
Demonstrated ability in technical presales or product marketing
Basic experiences configuring servers (Linux, Windows) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Linux Shell, C/C++) is strongly desirable
Experience in developing server products (Hardware, Firmware or Software) is a plus
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with storytelling abilities that drive customer engagement, adoption, and market growth
Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs
Ability to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customers
Salary Range
$137,000 - $156,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
