Firmware Test Development Engineer

Role:
Join our firmware QA team to define end-to-end test strategies, develop regression tests, and ensure high-quality firmware delivery for EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
Collaborate with firmware architects and validation teams to create scalable, automated test frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Partner with architects and validation engineers to understand firmware features
Develop and implement platform-level test flows across boot and runtime
Create automation-friendly regression tests and procedures
Execute tests, debug issues, and support defect resolution
Contribute to test strategy, coverage analysis, and infrastructure improvements
~80% test content creation, ~20% test execution
Preferred Experience:
6+ years in firmware/software development or validation
Knowledge of pre/post-silicon firmware/system test environments
SoC/system-level debugging
Embedded firmware experience
Programming in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl, etc.)
Familiarity with BIOS, RAS, memory validation, power management, platform security, virtualization, high-speed I/O, and sideband protocols
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's in a related discipline
