Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking an IT Support Technician I to provide technical support to end users across our Hotels, Corporate Office, and Enterprise IT systems. In this on-site role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and support of IT hardware, software, and applications, helping to ensure smooth and efficient operations. What you will be doing:
  • Provide top-notch technical support to corporate office and hotel employees, offering swift solutions for IT issues. Escalate complex problems to higher-tier support when needed. Respond to urgent situations while remaining calm and positive.
  • Manage the acquisition, setup, and delivery of mobile devices and PCs/laptops for employees.
  • Handle LAN/WAN/Wireless incidents promptly to maintain network reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and application incidents, collaborating with third-party service vendors when necessary.
  • Accurately document asset management changes, incidents, and requests using our corporate ticketing systems.
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to higher-tier functions, ensuring a swift resolution.
  • Stay updated on current information system trends and technologies to enhance your technical knowledge.

What we are looking for:
  • Successful completion of a High School Diploma, G.E.D., or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in an IT support capacity, showcasing adeptness in resolving intricate technical challenges.
  • Profound expertise encompassing operating systems, networking protocols, hardware constituents, and software applications.
  • Exceptional analytical acumen and problem-solving finesse, coupled with the capacity to think critically even when facing high-pressure scenarios.
  • Outstanding communication prowess, spanning both written and verbal domains, enabling effective interactions with end-users and technical teammates.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Google IT Support, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Adapt seamlessly to a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Required to partake in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to be on site at corporate offices or other designated locations 5 days a week to ensure seamless coordination and contribution to the team's success.
  • Flexibility to undertake travel of up to 10% to remote sites, occasionally involving overnight stays.
