Description
We are looking for a skilled IT End-User Computing Support Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring that end users can perform their critical job functions seamlessly. This position is vital to maintaining the company's operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service to both on-site and remote employees.
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
Manage incident queues and resolve user issues within established service level agreements to maintain operational efficiency.
Address escalated requests and incidents from the Service Desk with prompt and high-quality resolutions.
Support both Windows and MacOS environments, ensuring compatibility and functionality across platforms.
Track and manage PC assets accurately, ensuring inventory is up-to-date.
Create and update knowledgebase articles to improve future troubleshooting processes.
Assist with IT projects such as hardware and software deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and migration initiatives.
Utilize scripting tools to automate routine IT tasks and enhance efficiency.
Provide mentorship and training to less experienced team members, fostering team development and growth.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support roles, with progressive responsibility over time.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software for both Windows 10/11 and MacOS environments.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, desktop imaging, and Windows Intune.
Familiarity with enterprise networks and protocols, including IP configurations.
Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and escalations in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and workstation support.
Experience with scripting tools for automation of IT processes.
Proven ability to work collaboratively while providing mentorship to less experienced staff.
