The Senior Instructional Designer provides course design support through evaluating and enhancing the current learning environments for the organization's various employees. Working independently under limited supervision, this job ensures the quality and innovation of the training and development programs produced by instructional designers. The Senior Instructional Designer evaluates numerous components across the training and development programs and instructor-led training materials. This job also reviews and revises instructional and performance improvement materials and products in various formats.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Reviews methods of content delivery in the online, web-based, and in person environments using appropriate technologies.
  • Evaluates engaging learning activities and course materials that improves retention and transfer of knowledge.
  • Manage existing training and development programs to improve learning effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implements feedback from course evaluation and program reviews to the current instructional design and learning models, and oversees courses and programs for learning initiatives.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of instructional tools or strategies when applied to a particular learning objective.
  • Reviews training materials to ensure meeting instructional systems design standards and reviews completed materials including graphics for accuracy.
  • Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.
