Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Support Lead to join their team onsite in Baltimore, MD and provide end-user support.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with legacy systems running Window XP and 7
  • Tools using older technologies like parallel and serial cards, so being knowledgeable in legacy technologies would be highly desirable
  • Skilled in repairing Dell hardware
  • Terminate and test network lines, patching in equipment
  • Advanced in M365 troubleshooting, Intune device management and AD/AAD user management
  • Image machines using Dell Imager, SCCM and Intune
  • Execute PowerShell scripts and commands. The ability to create basic PowerShell scripts would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of VPN, VLANs, firewalls, switches and setting IP configurations on devices
  • Troubleshoot Android and iOS mobile phone issues
  • Troubleshoot moderately complex networking issues
  • Lead the team as they interact with customers through phone calls, live chat, and email, using ticketing software
  • Provide and receive ongoing feedback, implementing resolutive actions
  • Foster career development by delivering actionable feedback on individual performance in 1:1 meeting, assigning achievable goals and projects, and coaching accordingly
  • Create and share Operational goals, performance standards, and KPI's with the teams to properly align to Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement


Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology from a technical school preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in related field
  • Desktop and / or Infrastructure support experience
  • Experience analyzing, managing, expediting, and resolving issues with timely customer follow up
  • Skills and experience preferred in:
    • Account Specific Training or Certification
    • Min 1 OEM Per Environment
    • Basic non-warranty repair skills training as assigned (Cabling, Printers, Network, Servers)
    • Client Printer Basics + Printers as assigned
    • Lexmark Printer Basics + Printers assigned
    • Apple MAC Certifications as assigned
    • Microsoft Certification Program Cert (Ex. MTA)
    • CompTIA Server+ 1 or more OEM Server (as assigned)
    • CompTIA Network+ Cisco CCT Router & Switching
    • 1 Advanced CompTIA Cert (Sec+, CYSA+, Cloud+)
    • Cisco CCNA


Wage Range :
The rate for this position is between $39.00 - $57.20 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
