Private Network Engineer
Location: Remote - Tampa, Florida 33607
Length: 3-6+ month contract
Payrate Range: $53-$57/hr.
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Job Description:
This project will evaluate PMN technologies suitable for client's unique operational and geographic needs, identify the best-fit architecture and vendor partners, and prepare for a successful proof-of-concept deployment at one or more mining sites.
40 % - Technology assessment and recommendations:
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of PMN technologies
Evaluate technology fit for key mining use cases
Provide a recommendation based on environmental factors, performance needs, cost, and scalability.
20% - Hardware and Vendor Selection
Identify top-tier vendors providing ruggedized, industrial-grade hardware suited for mining conditions.
Evaluate vendor offerings based on, network coverage in challenging terrains, reliability in extreme environments, scalability across multiple sites in North and South America and integration with Clients existing IT infrastructure.
10% - Work with Client's Network Services
to define business and technical requirements for the PMN Proof of Concept
30% - Review architectural proposals
from selected vendors to ensure the design supports Client's strategic initiatives such as digital automation, telemetry, and future expansion.

- 7-10 years of expertise in private 5G and private mobile networks, particularly within major telecommunications companies.
- Hands-on experience in deploying and optimizing private 5G solutions to meet industry-specific needs.
- Previous experience assessing major PMN provider RFP's
NICE TO HAVES:
- Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
- proven track record in the implementation and management of private mobile networks, with a strong preference for experience in the mining industry
