Title: Test Manager
Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)
Rate: $45/hr

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Test Manager to oversee and drive testing efforts for a critical program at Barclays. This is a hybrid role requiring strong coordination skills and the ability to engage with technical details such as logs, databases, and test environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage test environments (e.g., COBs, code stacks, configuration changes, restores).

  • Define test objectives and provide instructions for each test run (e.g., baseline batch tests).

  • Manage and track test results and issues. Collaborate with Business Analysts to determine whether issues are new or existing.

  • Maintain the issue log and resolution process: monitor status, assign ownership, and ensure timely next steps.

  • Liaise with development, QA, and environment management teams to ensure timely execution.

  • Dive into technical investigations using SQL and log files.

  • Coordinate with global teams; working hours should typically align to end by 6:00 PM London time due to overnight testing cycles.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience managing test environments, test execution, and issue resolution.

  • Hands-on experience investigating issues via SQL queries, log analysis, and technical root cause analysis.

  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills across multiple teams.

  • Experience in financial services or complex enterprise environments is a plus.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-time zone settings.
