One of our clients in the government sector is seeking a Custodial Worker Supervisor. Who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the custodial staff to ensure that all school district facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition, The role involves supervising custodial personnel, coordinating cleaning schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Short Term Contract

Schedule: Monday Friday
Shift: 7 AM 3:30 PM
Hours/Day: 7.5 Hrs.
Time Zone: CST
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate custodial staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of school facilities.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet district standards.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any disciplinary issues.
- Coordinate with school administrators and district officials regarding facility needs and maintenance schedules.
- Inspect buildings regularly to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met.
- Order supplies, equipment, and cleaning products needed for custodial operations.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure staff adherence to district policies and safety regulations.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and coordinate urgent repairs as needed.
- Keep accurate records of custodial activities, inventories, and work orders.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of custodial staff.
- Promote a positive work environment and teamwork among custodial staff.
- Primarily performed on school premises.
- May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for special events or emergencies.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or conferences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Experience equivalent to four years of increasingly responsible full-time custodial work, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
- Associate s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA training) are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Outstanding organizational skills; diligent with great attention to detail.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Understanding cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols applicable to school environments.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals.
- Understanding of district policies, health and safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply ordering.
- Awareness of emergency procedures and protocols related to school safety.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage custodial staff.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills to coordinate cleaning schedules and maintenance activities.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff, students, and district personnel.
- Ability to train and motivate staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

- Ability to interpret and follow safety and cleaning procedures accurately.
