RESPONSIBILITIES:
Korce has a client seeking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient IT Technical Writer with a strong foundation in cybersecurity. This role will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining documentation that supports cybersecurity policies, procedures, systems, and tools. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, analysts, and IT teams to gather technical information and document cybersecurity systems, protocols, and workflows
* Develop and maintain user manuals, system specifications, security policies, SOPs, FAQs, and technical guides related to cybersecurity infrastructure and operations
* Ensure documentation complies with regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR) and internal governance policies
* Translate cybersecurity concepts such as threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response into readable and actionable documentation
* Participate in cybersecurity workshops and training sessions to stay current with evolving threats and technologies
* Review and revise technical documents to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability
* Support audits and compliance efforts by maintaining organized and version-controlled documentation repositories
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with at least 1 year focused on cybersecurity documentation
* Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain), tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, Wiz-CSPM), and concepts (e.g., DLP, GRC, threat intelligence)
* Proficiency in documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint) and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and clarity
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as Certified Technical Communication Professional (CTCP), CISSP, or CDPSE are a plus
* Experience supporting cybersecurity audits or incident response documentation
* Knowledge of Active Directory, encryption protocols, and vulnerability management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
