Job Title: ETL Tester (Manual Testing | SQL | Power BI | SSIS)
Location: Hitech City, Hyderabad
Work Hours: UK Shift (12:00 PM - 9:00 PM IST)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Manual ETL Tester with strong SQL skills, experience in Power BI report testing, and a good understanding of SSIS-based ETL processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data quality across complex data pipelines and business intelligence reports, working closely with cross-functional teams aligned with UK business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data transformations.

  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets across various environments.

  • Validate Power BI dashboards and reports including data accuracy, visualizations, filters, and performance.

  • Test data integration processes built using SSIS and ensure correct implementation of business rules.

  • Perform source-to-target (S2T) mapping validation and document any discrepancies.

  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and QA leads to ensure test coverage and data integrity.

  • Participate in test plan and test case design for ETL, reporting, and data validation activities.

  • Support regression, incremental, and full data load testing cycles.

  • Work effectively within a UK time zone to coordinate with onshore stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Good experience in manual testing with a focus on ETL/Data Warehouse projects.

  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL - ability to write and optimize complex queries.

  • Solid knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) - understand packages, workflows, and error handling.

  • Experience in Power BI report/dashboard validation, including UI and backend data testing.

  • Good understanding of data quality, data profiling, and ETL validation techniques.

  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Client ALM.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
