RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's notable Northern Californian utility Client is looking for 2 Project Controls Analyst to join their Bay Area team. This role is Hybrid 1x a week at the local Bay Area HQ.
Summary:
Currently, this team has a focus on Emergency Projects. These are not traditional pre-planned construction projects - emergency projects are often a little backwards, due to the nature of emergency response. The team often executes work first and develops project scope and documentation afterward. These PCAs own a little - but it is more of the Project Manager side. They must have an understanding of how construction projects are structured - will work closely with M&C Engineers.
These projects are usually fast-paced and higher-volume, PCAs are averaging 65-70 active jobs at a time. The expectation is once per week to that person's local office (there are offices throughout the service territory) and then traveling to walk job sites with their PMs about once per month. Mileage is reimbursable.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of experience in construction - either as a PCA or PM - solid understanding of how construction projects are structured and assembled
* Understanding of the financial side of construction projects - how financials tie into activities
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project or P6)
* Solid understanding of financials and cost control for projects
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, less structured setting
* Trainable and a strong cultural fit with a collaborative team
* Valid DL and Vehicle insurance required for this role
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
