Equity Trading Support Engineer

MUST be local to New York City. This is a Hybrid position at least 3 days in office.

Salary Range: $140k to $170k

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for various trading applications, research platforms and Securities Lending applications, including Flextrade, Ullink, Global One and BlueMatrix.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Electronic trading networks connectivity
  • Install, test, deploy and upgrade software the Equities trading systems. Develop test plans for enhancements & new modules of vendor provided software. Work with users to certify enhancements
  • Monitor electronic trading systems and server-side software to ensure that systems are working correctly
  • Work with traders to Identify, troubleshoot and respond to emergency situations impacting live trading

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions and supporting an Equity line of business (i.e. US Market Making, ETF, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, Options
  • Script development experience with excellent usage of SQL
  • Understand trading activities and market data feeds
  • Fundamental understanding of database modeling and ETL type applications.
  • Knowledge of FIX messaging protocol
  • Proficient in handling regulatory or compliance related requests (i.e. Reg NMS, ACT, CAT)
  • Experience working on a trading floor supporting mission critical applications
  • Experience in at least 1 of the following platforms – Flextrade, Fidessa.
  • Experience with scripting and automation is a plus.
