Job Details

Position: STERLING OMS ARCHITECT with retail exp

Location: Candidates on PST preferred- Remote

Must have experience/skills:

  • Sterling OMS Architect experience for multiple project implementations
  • Experience implementing B2B and B2C use cases
  • Experience implementing global clients

Project/Industry Experience:

  • Retail B2B and B2C experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions using Sterling OMS to support order capture, fulfillment, inventory visibility, and reverse logistics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable OMS solutions.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of Sterling OMS modules including order orchestration, sourcing, payment processing, and shipment.
  • Define integration strategies with ERP, WMS, POS, eCommerce, and CRM systems.
  • Establish best practices for OMS development, configuration, and deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring and optimization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in order management and retail systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Sterling OMS Architect experience for multiple project implementations (3+)
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale OMS solutions in a retail or eCommerce environment.
  • Experience implementing B2B and B2C use cases
  • Experience implementing global clients
  • Strong understanding of order lifecycle, inventory management, and fulfillment strategies.
  • Proficiency in Java, XML, XSLT, and REST/SOAP web services.
  • Experience with Sterling APIs, user exits, and customization frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IBM Sterling OMS certification.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
