Senior Monitoring Specialist - Broadcom Fairfield, CA 94533 9 Months *OPEN TO LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL* 100% Remote

Equipment Required: personal laptop or vendor provided. The client will only provide Citrix/VDI access. Any other equipment requested by the hire must be vendor provided.
Position Overview:
Integrate monitoring and event management tools into an Observability and AIOps platform.
Build and improve monitoring and instrumentation to identify issues before they affect customers.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams such as operations, application, database and VMware support and enterprise NOC
  • Strong cross-team communication skills.
  • Work independently but also with a team
  • Experience with exchanging data between applications using API s
  • Understanding of JSON and XML payloads and how to modify them to support normalizing the data between applications
  • 3 years of experience with production systems
  • Strong development and automation skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and supporting tooling
  • Experience with Java programming languages
  • 3 years of experience with technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, IT Networking, Security, or a related technical degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the building blocks of large-scale systems including load balancing, distributed/cloud computing, containers, instrumentation, and monitoring.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability systems and tools (Broadcom Operations Intelligence, Broadcom NetOps, Grafana, Oracle EM, Dynatrace, PagerDuty, etc)
  • Experience with Postman to facilitate development and testing of integrations.
