Job Details
Title: Jr. Applications Engineer - Optical Networking (Lab Environment)
Location: San Jose, Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months +
Important Point:
- Hands-on experience working in lab environment turning up HW setups.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- Good Knowledge on coherent optical networks:
- Knowledge on transceivers/pluggable is a plus.
- Proficiency in L2 and L3 routers and switches.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
- Familiarity in other programming languages such as Java, MATLAB, VB.net, C#, and JavaScript.
- Experience with SSH, Telnet, API based automation and testing and tools.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments is a plus.
- Experience with test plan creation and execution for optical system trials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or Optical Communication.
- BS with 3 years or MS with 1 year of hands-on experience in optical network industry preferably in optical transceivers.
