Job Details

Required Skills:
Experience with CDC-specific audit and compliance processes; experience reviewing and translating Department of State audit and reporting requirements; experience monitoring and doing daily reconcilliation for CDC projects using CDC financial systems (RMS); experience with program planning and projections for CDC cooperative agreements

Preferred Skills:
10+ years managing budgets or cooperative agreements at CDC
Experience in financial reporting for PEPFAR program implementers

Day-to-Day Responsibilities;
Advise on the optimization of existing compliance monitoring tools and processes, including the implementation and maintenance of systems to track and verify programmatic activities and mechanisms against approved plans and budgets.
Provide technical assistance on forecasting of funds arrival and distribution of resources in accordance with agency and GHSD plans
Assist in designing and strengthening internal control processes, offering advisory support and technical assistance for audit readiness.
Provide guidance and recommendations for preparing for internal and external audits, including necessary documentation, processes, and controls.
Provide a technical review for any program requirements, offering recommendations for process improvements and enhanced compliance.

Expected Deliverables:
5-8 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining optimal processes for CAN reconciliation, fiscal year planning and projections, program oversight, audit preparation, and compliance monitoring
