Job Description
The Network Systems Analyst is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting, maintaining, and upgrading the hospital's network infrastructure, with a strong focus on access layer switching, wireless systems, VOIP, and surveillance technologies. This position will assist with projects ranging from IDF switch refreshes to wireless AP placements, participate in troubleshooting network and connectivity issues, and support deployments for VOIP and camera systems. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation and may require occasional after-hours work.
Location: This role is in onsite in Odessa, Texas.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $27.07 to $54.13 per hour; from: $56,300 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Support & Deployment
- Assist with the upgrade and replacement of access switches within IDF closets, including patching, labeling, and rack cleanup.
- Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of wired and wireless networks (Wi-Fi 6/6E), including Aruba or Cisco-based APs.
- Participate in core and distribution switch upgrades, providing physical or logical support as needed.
- Perform site surveys and assist with optimal wireless Access Point (AP) placement to ensure reliable coverage and minimal interference.
- Deploy and support Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony systems, including handsets, softphones, and backend call management systems (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Finesse, Jabber).
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IP-based camera systems in coordination with security teams.
- Ensure QoS settings and VLAN configurations are appropriate for voice and video traffic.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues across LAN/WLAN infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (workstation support, server, telecom, vendors) to resolve end-user and system-related issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation for equipment inventory, network diagrams, and configuration changes.
- Support infrastructure projects involving network expansions, closet build-outs, and device rollouts.
- Provide input into network design improvements and participate in infrastructure planning sessions.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams for material deliveries, installations, and cutovers.
- 3+ years of experience in Network or Telecom support roles within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in configuring and supporting Ethernet switches, VLANs, and wireless controllers.
- Understanding of VoIP concepts and basic telephony troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and closet infrastructure management.
- Basic understanding of surveillance systems and their network requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, IDF layouts, and AP heatmaps.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to lift equipment, work in overhead spaces, and navigate wiring closets.
- Able to commute to Odessa, Texas.
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco CCNA or Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
- BICSI or equivalent low-voltage cabling certification
- Location:This role is in onsite in Odessa, Texas.
- Mix of office-based work, IDF/MDF environments, and occasional site walkthroughs.
- On-call rotation required (shared among team).
- May involve after-hours deployments during maintenance windows.
