Position: Software Developer
Location: 100% Remote (Telecommute)
Hours: Full-time (8 hours/day) with required overlap between 9:00 AM 12:00 PM ET for collaboration

Project Overview

We're seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our product development team, working on Healthy Benefits+ 2.0, an accelerated feature rollout for potential large-scale clients. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that impact healthcare and financial data systems.

Team Structure:

  • 1 Product Manager

  • 1 2 Designers

  • 1 4 Developers

  • 1 QA

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and consume RESTful API endpoints and asynchronous events to implement secure business logic.

  • Build reusable code and libraries to be shared across the team and tech stack.

  • Design and maintain systems that handle sensitive health and financial data securely.

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to align on project goals.

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and daily team discussions.

  • Continuously improve our technology stack

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.

  • 3+ years working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.

  • Strong understanding of building and consuming API endpoints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with API integration patterns: REST, AMQP, GraphQL.

  • Proven ability to implement secure, testable, and maintainable business logic.

  • Experience with event-driven services.

  • Hands-on deployment experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

  • Familiarity with 3rd-party integrations and message brokers/event streams (e.g., AWS SNS, SQS, Azure ServiceBus).

  • Background in high-security environments (e.g., healthcare, payments).
