Job Details

  • This is a hybrid role located in the Kansas City Metro area.
  • W2 candidates only C2C not accepted.

This role is critical for modernizing the data infrastructure to support a highly regulated reporting program, data sharing among large enterprise entities, risk analysis, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will architect and implement secure, scalable cloud data solutions while preserving regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to migrate large volumes of regulatory data from Oracle to Snowflake.
  • Translate Oracle PL/SQL procedures into Snowflake SQL and Snowpark logic.
  • Collaborate with teams managing data calls, statutory reporting, and market analysis tools.
  • Implement cost-optimized Snowflake solutions that meet data security and compliance standards.
  • Perform data validation, schema conversion, and audit tracking to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Automate data workflows and integrate with tools supporting data platforms.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and participate in Agile sprint planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field desired.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or database development.
  • Deep expertise with Oracle databases (PL/SQL, performance tuning).
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing in a production environment.
  • Proficient in Python or Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with data tools like dbt, Airflow, Informatica, or Matillion.
  • Experience working in highly regulated data environments (e.g., healthcare, government, insurance).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SnowPro Certification.
  • Experience supporting regulatory bodies.
  • Cloud expertise (GSP, Azure or AWS) and knowledge of security protocols.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and regulatory accuracy.
  • Excellent communication with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving regulatory tech environment.
