Job Details
We are looking for a Geospatial technologies Engineer and a strong background in .NET development. You will play a key role in building and scaling location-based systems that power real-time logistics and operations. This position is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of maps, mobility, and backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable backend services using .NET Core for location-based applications.
Develop and optimize geospatial data pipelines to support features such as:
Real-time driver tracking
Order and delivery location intelligence
Demand-supply heatmaps and geo-analytics
Collaborate with data science and product teams to improve geolocation accuracy and performance.
Integrate third-party map and location services (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE).
Work with relational and geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial).
Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and system design.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on .NET/C#.
Strong experience in geospatial technologies, such as GIS, mapping APIs, routing engines, or spatial indexing.
Familiarity with logistics or real-time tracking use cases (e.g., "Where is the driver?", "Where is the order?").
Hands-on experience with high-scale distributed systems and RESTful APIs.
Previous experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments such as Uber, Instacart, or Grubhub is a strong plus.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Exposure to data visualization tools for maps and mobility analytics.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
