Job Details

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Network Management, or a related field. Additional formal training from a recognized technical or vendor-sponsored training school is also required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years' experience in server support management, including:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server networks, Fibre Channel technologies, the Internet, PCs, network hardware and software, fiber optics, and communication interface devices.
    • Certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or MS 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune Administration.
    • Strong skills in PowerShell scripting.
    • In-depth experience with Office 365 Suite and Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
    • Experience in managing VMware infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with server and storage equipment, security, and server management or automated deployment tools.
    • Ability to research, schedule, and install software upgrades for servers and desktops.
    • Capacity to coordinate with hardware and software vendors to solve user access and application issues.
    • Recognition that the position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC), requiring immediate availability before, during, and after emergencies and/or disasters.
    • Flexibility to work occasional weekends for system upgrades and support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing professional, technical, operational, and analytical tasks related to the installation, operation, design, and support of multiple server systems and specialized application servers, including Internet and Intranet systems.
  • Managing daily operations and support of central file servers, database servers, various application servers, and data storage systems.
  • Troubleshooting server and network access issues, including support for Microsoft Windows Servers.
  • Developing PowerShell scripts, managing the Office 365 product suite, Exchange email, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Performing system software installations, including upgrades and patches.
  • Optimizing system performance and integrating departmental LANs into the broader network operations.
  • Supporting hardware and software upgrades and troubleshooting VMware infrastructure issues.
  • Providing support for Internet access and assisting with the installation and configuration of server software and application servers.
  • Monitoring server logs and auditing data, and supporting the storage area network systems.
