Job Title: Payments Specialist GPP & VolPay (ISO 20022 Expert)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payments Specialist with deep expertise in Finastra GPP (Global PAYplus) and VolPay, as well as strong hands-on knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting payment solutions across various global clearing systems.
This role plays a critical part in the transformation and modernization of our payment systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement and configure GPP and VolPay solutions for high-value and low-value payments.
Design, develop, and test ISO 20022-based payment messages for cross-border and domestic payment schemes (e.g., SWIFT CBPR+, SEPA, FedNow, CHAPS).
Integrate GPP and VolPay with internal and external systems using APIs, message queues, and batch interfaces.
Participate in the end-to-end payment processing lifecycle from message ingestion to settlement and reporting.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand payment requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Manage change requests, enhancements, and production support for payment platforms.
Perform detailed analysis of payment messaging formats (MT to MX conversion, pacs.008, pain.001, camt.053, etc.).
Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards in all payment implementations.
Provide SME-level insights on real-time payments, clearing systems, and payment engine configurations.

Required Skills & Experience:
6+ years of experience in Payments domain with focus on GPP (Global PAYplus) and VolPay framework.
Expert-level understanding of ISO 20022 messaging formats (especially pacs, camt, and pain series).
Hands-on experience with SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET2, FedNow, CHAPS, and other clearing systems.
Strong experience in payment routing, enrichment, transformation, and exception handling.
Proficient in XML, XSLT, Java, Groovy, or similar scripting languages for message transformation.
Familiarity with API integrations, microservices, and message queues (Kafka, MQ).
Deep understanding of MT-MX coexistence, message validation, and industry migration roadmaps.
Ability to troubleshoot and support payment systems in high-pressure environments.

Nice to Have:
Experience with payment modernization or real-time payment implementation projects.
Familiarity with Finastra FusionFabric.cloud ecosystem.
Exposure to cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins).
Certifications in Payments (e.g., SWIFT, ACI, Finastra) or ISO 20022 messaging.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred).
